If you're an avid YouTube user, you may already be consuming dozens if not hundreds of channels. Manually subscribing to each of these channels is a time-consuming process if we try to do it in one go. Most of the time, that's not the case as we gradually pile up our collection of channels with time. But, what if we want to transfer all of our channel subscriptions from one YouTube account to another? Is there a shortcut to do it quickly? Yes, there's a method to do so and that's what we're going to learn in this tutorial. This methodology is crucial when the number of channel subscriptions is high.

While using the technique mentioned below, make sure you're logged in to both YouTube accounts within the same web browser. This way, the transfer process will be smooth without any hiccups.

Remember, this following methodology only copies the subscriptions. It does not move them. In other words, the source account still has all the subscriptions—active—after the copying is done.

To get started, you need to install the Subscriptions Importer for YouTube extension for Google Chrome.

Note: At the time of this writing, this extension is only available for Google Chrome. The developer intends to port it to Firefox as well if enough user base demands it.

The free version of this extension can transfer up to 100 channel subscriptions across two YouTube accounts. I think this limit is good enough for most users.

First of all, make sure you're logged in to both YouTube accounts. Now open YouTube and switch to the source account from where the subscriptions will be copied.

Exporting YouTube subscriptions

Click on the extension icon, and switch to the Exporter tab. Thereafter, click on the Export button as indicated above. Remember, the free version allows the export of up to 1000 channel subscriptions.

The export process completes with notification of all the data being copied to the clipboard. You can save this data in a plain text file if you intend to use it—later.

Paste channel list in subscription importer

Now, switch to the destination YouTube channel where you want to transfer all of your channel subscriptions. Once again, click on the extension icon and switch to the Importer tab.

Now, copy all of the channel data you saved earlier in a text file and paste it into the text field as shown in the image above. Thereafter, click the Import button.

You'll be diverted to a confirmation page where all of the channels will be listed with an option to unselect or select all of them. The premium version enables you to selectively uncheck specific channels to remove them from the subscription list.

Once again, click the Import button on the confirmation page to complete the process. And, that's it! You've successfully copied all of your channel subscriptions from one YouTube account to another.

If you want, you can now remove the subscriptions from the source account—manually. Unfortunately, there is no way to unsubscribe channels in bulk on an automated basis.
